    Download An Application WCVB-TV has three professional/educational work experiences within its sales marketing department for qualified candidates. These internships will be offered to students who are interested in careers in media, advertising, research or marketing. Typically, participants major in Marketing or Communications, but the program is comprehensive enough to interest other students who major in Business, Sociology, Psychology and many other disciplines. Qualified candidates will have good analytical and writing skills and be proficient on IBM compatible systems, with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Powerpoint) and Adobe Pagemaker. Sales Marketing Designed to provide experience in the basic aspects of qualitative research as it pertains to the development of advertising clients and revenues. Interns will work with WCVB-TV's exclusive, annual consumer market survey of the Greater Boston Marketplace which examines purchase behavior, demographics, psychographics and media usage of Boston adults. They will generate customized market reports for specific retail accounts and assist with data analysis and planning strategies to be used with the client. In addition, they will work with an online broadcast sales research library to produce supplementary material for presentations. Other responsibilities include gathering research and ratings data for the development of sales marketing literature, attending sales meetings and sales calls when appropriate, and assisting in sales promotion video production.
