... Expert Personalized Instruction Welcome Aboard
I dropped anchor in Annapolis, Maryland in May 1988, after having completed an 8,500 mile delivery passage from Cape Town, South Africa. After 25 years of instruction and delivery experience on three continents, I had decided it was time to put down some roots! It is with great pleasure that I now offer the most reliable and professional delivery services, as well as stimulating and enjoyable personalized instruction, to the highest possible standards. Whether your interest is a local, Intracoastal Waterway, Bahamas, Caribbean or Gulf of Mexico delivery, an "owner-assisted" delivery, topic-specific instruction, or a general refresher instruction course, I am sure I can help. Please do not hesitate to contact me if I can help with any additional information you may require. I look forward to hearing from you, and to working with you. Angostura Recreation Area
South Dakota
Angostura Reservoir is a water-lover’s haven in the southern Black Hills. With plenty of room for boating, fishing and swimming, this recreation area attracts visitors to its clear waters and natural sand beaches. The dam was built in 1949 by the Bureau of Reclamation across the Cheyenne River for irrigation purposes but paved the way for recreation. The word “angostura” is Spanish for “narrows.”
Big Stone Island Nature Area
South Dakota
An 1823 expedition led by Major Stephan Long and geologist William Keating explored the Big Stone Lake region. Shortly after entering present-day South Dakota, they met an American Indian village. Keating wrote in his journal that "The village ... consisted of 30 skin lodges... This permanent residence is on a rocky island (Big Island) ... they cultivate their cornfields secure against aggression of their enemies. "This island is now the 100-acre nature area.
Burke Lake Recreation Area
South Dakota
Like an oasis on the prairie, this area has a 25-acre lake which is surrounded by trees. Whether boating, sailing or canoeing, visitors will enjoy this lake that averages only eight feet in depth. Native and introduced prairie grasses and wildflowers abound in the 206-acre park, and wildlife of all kinds inhabit this unique area.

Contact Us Sailing for all! Sailing is a sport which people with disabilities can enjoy as a leisure recreational activity or as a competitive high performance endeavor. Due to assistive technology, people with disabilities can enjoy cruising or competition on a level playing field with able-bodied individuals. Consequently, wheelchairs and disabilities are left on the dock while sailors enjoy the independence and freedom possible when sailing. What better way is there to spend a nice warm afternoon during the summer The exciting news is that each year, more clubs, camps and community centers "join the fun" in introducing and promoting sailing to people with disabilities. It is very likely that sailing opportunities exist in your community already. If not, there may be mobile outreach programs which can come and visit your region to get things going! What you will find once you get involved is that sailing is one of the most accessible forms of recreation and sport on the planet. It is an affordable way for anyone to enjoy and reap the benefits of outdoor activity! In most programs, the Canadian Yachting Association’s (CYA) Learn to Sail (LTS) coaches and LTS levels are used to ensure skills are taught properly in a safe and rewarding environment. Boats used include (but are not limited to) the Martin 16, the Access Dinghy, and Sonar.
