Related Ideas: Giftmaking Keepsakes Father's Day Handprint Magnets
This is brought to you by our good friend and craft guru Kathy Ross, author of kids' craft and activity books. Her craft this week, Handprint Magnets comes from her book called Crafts to Make in the Fall. This craft requires very little supplies, is perfect for the individual child, or a group setting. These magnets make wonderful homemade presents and are sure to liven up any refrigerator! Sit-A-Pon
a gift for the gardening mom
The Sit-A-Pon is created by using very simple household materials; old plastic tablecloth, magazines, and yarn. I first made a Sit-A-Pon when I was a Girl Scout. I still remember that pink and white soft square that protected my knees while gardening as a small girl. The Sit-A-Pon can be personalized just for your mom. You can use water proof magic markers to write her name and her favorite colored yarn to sew the edging. Great for Mom's too!

103. Lest We Forget Angel Paper Craft
Alternative Rather than making a paper craft, print the B W template, Assemble like the paper craft. Use black marker to draw on facial features.

Lest We Forget Angel Paper Craft
Multi cultural templates available.
Alternative:
Materials:
printer paper scissors glue
Directions:
Print template of choice. The large templates are easier for young children to do as the pieces are bigger.
Cut out the template pieces (this may require adult assistance I usually roughly cut the paper into pieces with one template on each. Then I give my 3 year old the big ones to work on and I cut out the smaller ones.)
The large dress piece is the bottom. To it, glue (in order):
  • the dress the head/neck the hair (onto the head) the wings the poppy (right at the waist of the angel) the hands (so they overlap the star a little) the feet (ovals)
  • Close the template window after printing to return to this screen.
Set page margins to zero if you have trouble fitting the template on one page (FILE, PAGE SETUP or FILE, PRINTER SETUP in most browsers).
