81. International Religious Freedom Report - 2003
The law permits the production and dissemination of religious literature with the The procedure for obtaining permission to import religious literature
http://www.usembassybaku.org/latest/interreligrep_en.html
AZERBAIJAN International Religious Freedom Report 2004
The Constitution provides that persons of all faiths may choose and practice their religion without restrictions; however, there were some abuses and restrictions. There was no change in the status of respect for religious freedom during the period covered by this report. Some religious groups reported delays in and denials of registration as well as limitations upon their ability to import religious literature. Others have indicated that they either received or expect to receive their registration, they are able to import religious literature, and they meet without government interference. However, local authorities occasionally monitor religious services, and officials at times harassed nontraditional religious groups. The generally amicable relationship among religions in society contributed to religious freedom; however, there is popular prejudice against Muslims who convert to non?Muslim faiths and hostility towards groups that proselytize, particularly Evangelical Christian and missionary groups. The U.S. Government discusses religious freedom issues with the Government as part of its overall policy to promote human rights. The Embassy is engaged actively in monitoring religious freedom and maintains contact with the Government and a wide range of religious groups.

The Ultimate Leverage for Riches
Proof that Religious and Mystical Doctrines are Hoaxes "Entering a difficult period in life, I turned to religion seeking answers. I faithfully accepted religious teachings and submersed myself on an eight-year spiritual journey only to discover that the enlightenment offered was a deception. I felt angry and betrayed." (As told by Tracey Alexander during a series of interviews with Eric Savage. Edited by Eric Savage) Religious teachings are very seductive. They hold out the promise of wisdom. This is especially enticing to someone who has problems in life. You think you are going to gain something extremely important. Religious teachings are filled with spiritual mysteries that need solving. And solving mysteries is something everyone likes to do. Indeed, mystery is a real drawing power of all forms of mysticism. People who go into the spiritual on a deep level do so because they are seeking honesty, enlightenment, fairness. They desire a world where honesty prevails, where fairness and compassion are the rules. They're seeking an ideal way to live and deal with others. But, what they don't realize is the ultimate wisdom they seek is really a hoax. For, what the dedicated student of religion eventually discovers is the core of religion is in reality non-existent. Those few dedicated students who reach this breakthrough either leave in disgust (a minority) or are made "masters" and "teachers" and continue to perpetuate the hoax. They rationalize... " the people", "the masses" need to believe in a higher power and need the guidance and morality provided by the religious doctrines.

Introduction This Web site offers a large bibliographical database about religious aspects and backgrounds of English literature, from the Middle Ages to the present century, with primary (though not exclusive) emphasis upon writers within the Anglican tradition. The database has been conceived on an ambitious scale, and it covers a large number of persons and subjects. I upload new material from time to time. William S. World Religions
Religion, History and Literature
Religion is more than just a belief in a deity. Religion is philosophy and a way of life. It can define who you are, how you view the world around you and how you interact within it. There are as many different types of religion as there are different types of people.
Some religions and beliefs you may know about, some may seem strange and some you've probably never heard of before. Hopefully the information provided on this page will help some people understand the beliefs of others and clear up misunderstandings that may have gone on for generations. You'll discover that people have more in common than you'd think.
I've written descriptions of some world religions to give a basic definition of some of the belief systems. The following links represent a small fraction of the world's religions, so enter with an open mind and explore.
Someone asked Master Yangqi, "When the founder of Zen came from India to China, he sat facing a wall for nine years-what does this mean?" Yangqi said, "As an Indian, he couldn't speak Chinese."
Descriptions of some World Religions
I wrote some of these papers many years ago in an Intro to Religion class, they were written as summaries of a chapter in "The World's Religions" by Huston Smith. Others were collected from other sources. If something is copywrited please let me know! Many thanks to Dr. Tony D'Souza for putting up with me in his class.

What's New
The Interlinear Hebrew-Greek-English Bible with KJV and Literal Translation, Four Volume Edition is Back In Stock. This is the original King James Version Interlinear Bible. An Interlinear Bible places the English translation of the Hebrew and Greek words directly below those words. Additionally this Interlinear Bible places a Strong's cross reference number above the Hebrew and Greek words which allows you to research the actual original Biblical languages using James Strong's Dictionary and Concordances without any knowledge of Hebrew or Greek. This work is presently being revised and re-typeset and God willing available in 2005. In the meantime, due to high and popular demand, we are releasing the 4 Volume Edition with the 1985 Old Testament and the 2000 New Testament. Hardback Edition - The New and Revised Interlinear Greek-English New Testament is the revised and newly typeset edition of the Four Volume Edition above. Besides improving the literal translations below the Greek text, this revision has numbered all the Greek words (the previous edition omitted some of the more common prepositions and conjunctions) and has added the Authorized King James Version text in a second side column. This allows you to compare how the original King James translators translated the Bible. This Volume is available now!

"Having lost my father and grandmother to gun violence, I will understand the deep hurt and anger felt by the loved ones of those who have been murdered. Yet I can't accept the judgement that their killers deserve to be executed. This merely perpetuates the tragic, unending cycle of violence that destroys our hope for a decent society."

Religious Organizing Against the Death Penalty's
CALL TO ALL PEOPLE OF FAITH
Most of the world is moving swiftly toward complete rejection of the death penalty. But as country after country abolishes state-sanctioned killing, the United States continues to ignore this international trend.
In a nation that many consider the standard bearer of human rights, more than 3,500 men and women sit on death row. Nearly all of them are poor. Many suffer from mental illness or mental retardation. A disproportionate number are people of color. And some are innocent of the crimes for which they have been condemned to die.
