of Proportional Reading (PR)
The Demo Site described here is completely FREE.
Specific directions for using this tool appear at the end of this article. K-12 Schools, Colleges and Universities should write or e-mail to arrange for a full faculty presentation of Proportional Reading.
This is the Silent Reading Tool of Proportional Reading. This tool is one of three main tools designed to help all readers in K-12, Higher Education and the out-of-school adult population of all ages. The other two tools are for reading with voice as text is displayed, and for looking up words with the press of a single stroke.
Proportional Reading will help you in many ways:
Most readers can quickly learn how to double or triple their reading rate within eight to ten hours of actual reading with the Silent Reading Tool. Comprehension will improve markedly and reading enjoyment will skyrocket.
Any text can be read this way including all text on the Internet. School Students k-12 can access a library of great literature arranged by grade level and formatted for reading with PR. Every student in the country will be able to read Anne of Green Gables, Tom Sawyer, Moby Dick or any of hundreds of other great classics right on the Internet using this Silent Reading Tool. Students will be able to read these works at school or at home. Customized libraries for each school can also be set up containing all or selected reading material for that school formatted for reading with PR. The Joy of Reading and Learning will start to compete successfully with less desirable alternatives.

Do you ever feel stuck or bored in your job?
You know you can perform better than you are - possibly in a new job or career - or maybe you just need to remind yourself of why you took on your current role. Whatever it is, you're just not sure how to make things better... - so I handed in my notice and left, with nothing to go to. That was the end of a successful 13 year career. In January 1999 I came across coaching and instinctively knew that this was what I wanted to do. To find out more about coaching and the approach taken at Tree of Life Coaching , let me invite you to explore the site and use any or all of the extensive resources here for your own personal and professional development.
