Quotation:
" Fix reason firmly in her seat, and call to her tribunal every fact, every opinion. Question with boldness even the existence of a God; because, if there be one, he must more approve of the homage of reason, than that of blindfolded fear ". Thomas Jefferson
Definition of Agnostic:
Agnosticism is a concept, not a religion. It is a belief related to the existence or non-existence of God. An agnostic is a person who feels that God's existence can neither be proved nor disproved, on the basis of current evidence. Agnostics note that some theologians and philosophers have tried to to prove, for millennia, that God exists. Others have attempted to prove that God does not exist. Agnostics feel that neither side has convincingly succeeded at their task. Are they Theists? No, because Agnostics do not believe in a God, or a Goddess, or in multiple Gods, or multiple Goddesses or in a pantheon of Gods and Goddesses. However, some Agnostics consider themselves to be

Charles Hermite 's father was Ferdinand Hermite and his mother was Madeleine Lallemand. Ferdinand Hermite was a trained engineer and he worked in this capacity in a salt mine near Dieuse. After he married Madeleine he joined in the draper's trade in which her family were involved. However he was an artistic man who always wanted to pursue art as a career. He had his wife look after the draper's business and he took up art. Charles was the sixth of his parents seven children and when he was about seven years old his parents left Dieuse and went to live in Nancy to where the business had moved. Education was not a high priority for Charles's parents but despite not taking too much personal interest in their children's education, nevertheless they did provide them with good schooling. Charles was something of a worry to his parents for he had a defect in his right foot which meant that he moved around only with difficulty. It was clear that this would present him with problems in finding a career. However he had a happy disposition and bore his disability with a cheerful smile. Galois had studied. In fact he was taught mathematics there by

The Waste Land
by
T. S. Eliot
The Waste Land is a landmark in 20th Century Literature. In it, Eliot takes the reader on a dreamlike odyssey through time, space and the imagination.
One of its most prominent features is Eliot's extensive use of literary collage. The Waste Land is a network of quotations from, and references to, a wide range of literary and religious texts, and it is this aspect of The Waste Land text that this explores. Eliot's quotations and references are linked to the texts he took them from. These texts are presented in full, where possible, so the reader can become immersed in the literary context that Eliot evokes. Unfortunately, to read the Waste Land alongside the texts it draws upon, you will need a browser capable of showing frames .

    Shouting in the Evenings
The mask of comedy is one of the traditional symbols of the theatre, and the theatrical world has always offered a wide range of wry and witty quotations. Patrick Troughton, the second Dr Who, described acting as "Shouting in the evenings." John Wayne, on the other hand, advised aspiring actors, "Talk low, talk slow, and don't say much." Katharine Hepburn's view of her chosen profession was the opposite of star-struck: "Acting is the most minor of gifts and not a very high-class way to earn a living. Shirley Temple could do it at the age of four.
