Deepening the quantum mysterie s
The "central mystery" of quantum physics just got more mysterious. Experimenters from the United States and Austria have got together to provide a new demonstration of how light going through a "double slit" experiment seems to know before it sets out in its journey exactly what kind of traps have been set for it along the way. This is a variation on the Young's slit experiment, familiar from school laboratory demonstrations of the wave nature of light. When a beam of monochromatic light is shone through two narrow holes in a screen, the light spreading out from the two holes interferes, just like ripples interfering on the surface of a pond, to produce a characteristic pattern on a second screen. The mystery is that light can also be described as a stream of particles, called photons. The light source in a Young's slit experiment can be turned down to the point where it consists of individual photons going through the experiment, one after the other. If the spots of light made by individual photons arriving at the second screen (actually a photoelectric detector) are added together, they still form an interference pattern, as if each photon goes through both holes and interferes with itself on the way through the experiment. It was Richard Feynman who described this as "the central mystery" of quantum theory, and then corrected himself, saying that in fact it is "the only mystery". If you understood this, you would understand quantum physics but as Feynman also said, "nobody understands quantum mechanics" (The Character of Physical Law, BBC Publications, 1965).

Carlo Marzocchi was trained in conference interpreting at the university of Trieste. Since 1991 he has been active as a free-lance conference interpreter with the EU Institutions. He also worked as a translator for the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
Since 1999 he has given courses in simultaneous and consecutive interpreting from Dutch into Italian at the University of Trieste as well as seminars and lectures on various aspects of translation and interpreting studies.
His main research interest shifted gradually from argumentation and political speech to the language arrangements of international organizations and to systemic constraints on translation and interpreting. He is currently pursuing a PhD program in Translation and Intercultural Studies, Intercultural Studies Group of the Universitat Rovira i Virgili in Tarragona, Spain.

    QUANTUM PHYSICS
QUANTUM PHYSICS is at the cutting edge of Western science and in many respects goes way beyond Einstein's Theory of Relativity. The interesting thing about quantum physics is that the original impetus giving rise to it, namely the pursuit of the elemental building blocks of the Universe (separate elementary particles) has become meaningless with the discovery that the Universe appears to be an undivided Whole in a perpetual state of dynamic flux. Like Einstein's Theory of Relativity, Quantum Physics reveals the Universe to be a single gigantic field of energy in which matter is just a 'slowed down' form of energy. Further, Quantum Physics has discovered that matter/energy does not exist with any certainty in definite places, but rather shows 'tendencies' to exist. (i.e. the 'Uncertainty Principle' ) Even more intriguing is the notion that the existence of an observer is fundamental to the existence of the Universe - a concept known as 'The Observer Effect' - implying that the Universe is a product of consciousness. (i.e. the Mind of God)

    Military Applications of Post-Quantum Physics
Jack Sarfatti sarfatti@well.com I am first passing Ray Chiao's paper on intact with no comments by me. I will later see how it fits with Chris Isham's paper on quantum gravity, its implications for Chapter 12 of Murray Gell-Mann's The Quark and the Jaguar etc. Basically Gell-Mann opts for locality in a many-worlds meta-theory. Gell-Mann explicitly characterizes my 1981 memo(with A. L. Chickering) to Richard De Lauer, then Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering, on controlled superluminal communication and also untappable quantum cryptography for submarine warfare as "flapdoodle". Is this really a consistent position in the light of Chiao's analysis? Second, Chiao points out how fragile Abner Shimony's "passion-at-a-distance", which forbids controlled superluminal communication, really is. This is of practical importance since Charles Bennett's theory of quantum computers depends crucially on passion-at-a-distance. On the other hand, we now have convincing evidence from recently declassified US military-intelligence remote-viewing operations that show that mental states violate passion-at-a-distance. Abstract
A modified Ritz emission theory is used to expand our present day ideas about virtual particle theory. It is done in a manner which provides an intuitive interpretation of both repulsion and "attraction" and offers a new insight into the stochasitic anisotropic nature of the electrodynamic braking action of bremsstrahlung. Installed on 30 June 30 1997. - Latest update - 28 May 2005. - New changes are in bold. Keywords: Attraction, Bremsstrahlung, Push gravity, Repulsion, Stochastic electrodynamics This exposition is about a Newtonian interpretation of electrical attraction and repulsion. It is dedicated to the memory of Glenn Donald Bryant, of Starkville Mississippi, who quested for causality in modern physics. Part 1 Much of the material will deal with things we cannot measure but the concepts can be modeled on a computer and the statistics from the model's history can be compared to experimental observations. For example, shown here are some results of multiple runs of a program called

    - Einstein Fall Retreat For thousands of years Taoist monks perfected the art of healing with Energy Medicine. They mastered internal alchemy by observing the forces of nature. Cosmic Energy, Universal Energy, and Earth Energy were used to bring more vitality into the physical body and a feeling of security and harmony into their interactions with others and the natural world. It is essential that we remember these secrets for longevity, harmony and accelerated evolution of consciousness.
White Cloud Institute offers a blend of ancient wisdom in a form that has been transmitted purely through Taoist masters, and new ways of understanding healing with energy medicine based on recent scientific discoveries in the field of quantum physics. Conscious Education to empower each individual toward personal health and global harmony is the goal. Classes are held evenings and weekends so that you are able to create an experience that is personal and reflects your pace of growth.
The journey into healing leads us home to our true self, which brings a feeling of oneness and peace beyond words. Healing is a journey of creativity that unfolds in a unique direction for each one of us. Whether you are coming for hands on healing or education, or both, you will be supported as you step onto your path.
