WYMS-FM Your Milwaukee Station Welcome to the home of WYMS-FM (88.9), a non-commercial radio station that will soon be bringing exciting new sounds to Milwaukee In the near future, WYMS will be transformed into a unique alternative to today's commercial radio, where everything’s often the same and not local. Soon, WYMS will be playing music and radio you never get to hear. The new format will support musicians and bring much-needed creativity to music radio. It will also focus on the needs of Milwaukee Public Schools parents and offer students valuable educational opportunities. The Milwaukee School Board, which owns WYMS, unanimously awarded Radio For Milwaukee a contract in November 2004 to operate the station.
