I average 200+. Can you help me? It is interesting to note that the higher average bowler tells us that often their sense of the mechanics of the sport is much improved after attending. We teach mathematical systems, reducing the trial and error time necessary to read, play, and adjust to different lane conditions. From a biomechanical sense, in sports, all high skill athletes have developed a blended, synchronized, fluidity of motion that results in the greatest efficiency with the least amount of effort. Through a series of drills, the Ritger system, which isolates the approach into six components, allows the bowler to expe rience the pure true feelings within each segment. They are then blended together to create the smooth athletic movement of the approach and delivery. With variables such as free swing, finger rotation, leverage, acceleration and speed control, the needs of the high skilled bowler are addressed.

Summer camps teach life skills to Ukraine's children by Bohdan Lysyj WARREN, Mich. - For the past five years, Help Us Help the Children, a non-profit foundation with branches in Canada, Ukraine and the United States, has been organizing summer camps for children from Ukraine's "internaty" - state-run children's homes. This year on August 4-20, 350 children between the ages of 12 and 17 from 35 internaty throughout Ukraine attended a summer camp in the beautiful Carpathian Mountains, in the town of Vorokhta, Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast. The camp's location is striking distance from Ukraine's highest peak, Hoverlia, at 2,060 meters, and near such scenic towns as Yaremche and Kosiv. The campers were housed in facilities normally used to house athletes during training: Baza Avanthard, home to Ukraine's national ski jump team, and Baza Ukraina, home to Ukraine's national biathlon team. Children from internaty are often orphans, or come from highly dysfunctional families - alcohol or drug-addicted parents, parents in jail, abusive family members, extreme poverty. Children from these families are often sent to live in a state-run children's home for years at a time. Many live there until the completion of high school, after which they are discharged, often, literally, onto the street, with very little in the way of support and life skills. The summer camp programs organized by Help Us Help the Children include workshops intended to improve personal life skills: the ability to make decisions, solve problems, negotiate, communicate, cooperate with others. Discussions and activities focus on ethics, responsibility, tolerance, respect for others, as well as Ukrainian tradition and culture. Campers are also given practical information about topics such as hygiene and nutrition, and job search tools. The camp activities are geared towards building independence, self-sufficiency, self-esteem and confidence in these adolescents.

HERE ATTACKERS CAMP SCORE!!!
Scoring goals is a scarce commodity at every level of American soccer today, from youth level to the national team. Most coaches rarely focus on the individual skills and instincts that produce goals. And yet, these are the very qualities that players need when scoring goals. It is for this reason that the attacker camp provides an invaluable experience for developing goal scoring skills. Directed by

Security for Community Press Release Israel/Middle East ADL: Palestinian Summer Camps Teach Terror Tactics, Espouse Hatred Some Found to Be Funded by UNICEF New York, N.Y., September 9, 2002 … The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) today expressed "extreme concern" with recent reports detailing the "education in terror" Palestinian children were receiving at summer camps organized by the Palestinian Authority, Hamas and Islamic Jihad, among others. According to the reports, UNICEF funded a number of these camps. "Summer camp, where children traditionally participate in sing-alongs and color wars, has been warped by the Palestinians into a sickening display of hatred and intolerance," said Abraham H. Foxman, ADL National Director. "We are extremely concerned by these reports, particularly since they detail that some of these camps were funded by UNICEF, an organization that has traditionally sought to improve the welfare of children. Therefore, it is imperative that UNICEF scrutinize the camps it sponsors and immediately withdraw funding from those whose only service is to provide an education in terror." At the summer camps, children were encouraged to learn how to play a role in terrorist attacks, learn how to shoot guns and were given instruction in how to blow up Israeli buses and settlements. Suicide bombers were also glorified with a number of camp groups being named for them.

SEATTLE POST-INTELLIGENCER REPORTER Summer camp. Those two words inspire images of youngsters tromping down forest trails, paddling canoes across sparkling lakes and singing "Kumbaya" while roasting marshmallows over a fire. Get with the new millennium. Today's cutting-edge summer camps are held on college campuses, not in forest meadows. Time-honored activities such as whittling, archery and macaroni art are out. Nowadays, video game programming, 3-D animation and digital movie production are in. And you can forget campfires. Kids huddle around computer screens instead. High-tech camps are cropping up around the country with the tenacity and frequency of summer dandelions. Here kids learn about Internet navigation, Web page design, robotics, computer animation and multimedia programs. But do kids actually like this stuff? Do they really want to sit in front of computers

valuable lessons about the world
in which they live"
By Hanna Brown, Earthscope Reporter This article was originally published in the Marin Scope Community Newspapers
(Pub. Date: Aug. 3-9, 2004) The summer sun beckons school children and lures office workers outside to play in its warmth. The Bay Area, being such a beautiful place, only magnifies this desire. For children and adolescents, there are many opportunities to spend the summer outside, being with and learning about the world around them. For instance, in the folds of Muir Beach there is a ranch that sustains itself and offers lessons to others in the process. Children run in the gardens and milk the cows. They make yarn and other crafts. Welcome to Slide Ranch, a nonprofit organization dedicated to environmental education. At Slide Ranch summer camp, children ages 5-12 learn about their connections to the earth. Through a variety of educational programs, the staff and visitors investigate how the ranch acts as a small community whose members work together for survival.
