Summer Institutes tuition is $595 per week. You may be eligible to receive up to $250 off the regular tuition fee! Remit
To consider all matters relating particularly to education, revalidation and clinical governance in general practice, and all matters concerning medical education generally, and to make recommendations to the parent committee.
Chair Dr Terry John has been a GP trainer since 1987. He is an Honorary Clinical Lecturer in Undergraduate Medicine, and Undergraduate Tutor for Students from Queen Mary University. He is also on the London Deanery GP Education Committee and an Appraiser for GPs in Waltham Forest Primary Care Trust.

Preamble
The University of South Australia's professional development policy is designed to encourage general staff to undertake higher degree studies or other full time developmental activities where those studies or activities are consistent with the needs of the University.
Policy
Permanent general staff of at least three years standing may apply for professional development leave with pay for a period of up to 13 weeks to study towards a professional development program which is consistent with the needs of the University.

GENERAL INFORMATION
About Registration
Located in the E. F. Yerby Center on Grove Circle at University Avenue, the Division of Outreach and Continuing Education is open year round (excluding University-observed holidays). Several options for registration are available: internet, fax, mail-in, walk-in, and phone. Please see program specifics. Our regular hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Registration begins now and continues until the date your class begins except where noted. For fax, mail-in, and internet registration, please allow enough time prior to class starting time to process. All programs have limited enrollment and are filled on a first-come basis. You must register before attending class, and by enrolling early, you ensure your place in the class of your choice.
Who May Enroll
The Office of Professional Development and Non-Credit Education classes are designed for individuals of all ages unless otherwise indicated. If you have any questions about specific classes, please call 662.915.7283 before enrolling. Noncredit, short-term classes are for all ages. These classes do not require admission to the University.

Downloadable Forms C ontinuing education and training is an important function that Ngee Ann Polytechnic provides to our graduates and other working professionals to help them renew skills and upgrade their knowledge beyond the diploma foundation years. The Continuing Education Centre (CEC) was set up in 1985 to support this function.
In April 2002, Ngee Ann Polytechnic re-named CEC to CPD or the Centre for Professional Development to reflect a fresh approach to the national drive to upgrade the academic profile of our workforce. The Government's initiative in lifelong learning bodes well with the global movement for working adults to keep abreast of dynamic changes in technology and business in the knowledge-based economy. Ngee Ann Polytechnic aims to be a close partner and forerunner to Manpower 21's vision of "Lifelong Learning for Lifelong Employability" to build up a talent human capital that is adept, nimble and internationalised in outlook and work habits.

Registration
The Division of Continuing Education offers and coordinates a variety of non-credit programs and events for Washburn University employees. In addition to courses offered by the Division, support and coordination is offered to other departments that provide employee training.
Courses offered exclusively to Washburn employees are available free of charge. With a few exceptions, courses offered to the public by the Division may be taken by Washburn employees for 30% less than the public fee (requires WIN number).
Employees should register for all non-credit courses online via the Event Calendar
Course Support and Coordination
The Division can provide support and coordination for all university employee non-credit training courses to include:
  • Registration - accept registrations from employees Facility Coordination - secure a campus room Promotion - develop and distribute campus announcements Rosters - provide list of registrants and sign-in sheets to verify attendance Certificates - may provide certificates of attendance or completion as appropriate
Please complete the event submission form at least two weeks in advance.

    (i) By September 1, 2000, and annually by September 1 of each school year thereafter, each school district and Board of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES) shall adopt a professional development plan that meets the content requirements prescribed in paragraph (2) of this subdivision. The purpose of the plan shall be to improve the quality of teaching and learning by ensuring that teachers participate in substantial professional development in order that they remain current with their profession and meet the learning needs of their students. The plan shall also ensure that holders of level III teaching assistants certificates and that substitute teachers who work on a long-term basis, as defined in section 80-5.4 of this Title, are provided the opportunity to participate in the professional development program of the district or BOCES. (ii) Such professional development plan may be a part of a comprehensive education plan of the district or BOCES, provided that the professional development plan meets all of the requirements of this subdivision, including the requirements related to collaboration with the professional development team in the development of the plan as prescribed in paragraph (3) of this subdivision, or may be a free-standing plan of the district or BOCES.

    For school years commencing prior to July 1, 2000, each school district and board of cooperative educational services (BOCES) shall be subject to the requirements of this paragraph. For school years commencing on or after July 1, 2000, each school district and BOCES shall be subject to the requirements of paragraph (2) of this subdivision. (i) The governing body of each school district and board of cooperative educational services shall ensure that the performance of all professional personnel, except evening school teachers of nonacademic, vocational subjects, will be reviewed annually. (ii) Each superintendent, in consultation with teachers, administrators and other school service professionals, selected by the superintendent with the advice of their respective peers, shall develop formal procedures for the review of the performance of all such personnel in the district. Such procedures shall be approved by the governing body of the district, filed in the district office, and available for review by any individual no later than August 1st of each year. Formal procedures for the review of the performance of all such personnel shall include:
      (a) criteria by which all such personnel shall be reviewed, and a description of the review procedures;
