I had to take some time off to finish up final projects for school and I'm in the middle of exams right now. I wrote my Math exam today. I still have Chemistry and Law left, which are next week. July and August are going to be busy months. I have a summer job at our local university as a research assistant on a sustainable energy project. It looks like it is going to be VERY interesting! I'm taking a short break from studying and updating a few things here on the site. We have had some problems with spammers on my Mom's GSD blog . My Dad made some changes to her site and I'm going to do the same thing here. He used "capcha" and tweaked a few security things to block the spambots. So far I have not had any problems here on RoboBlog. Everyone has been very supportive. I have had visitors from 26 countries on 6 continents. The list is growing too long to keep adding the country names, so I put this map together and I will update it periodically. Lost Canadian Children are natural-born citizens by birthright, we have a right to it without earning or qualifying to be worthy of it! The only reason we've had to endure loss of nationality and citizenship is because we were innocent children! CIC claims I lost nationality and citizenship AUTOMATICALLY as a child when a parent brought me to live outside Canada, yet my relatives, MP's Senators and House of Commons Members , even strangers on the street can't understand why I'm not a Canadian citizen, let alone not a dual citizen! We weren't a legal age to renounce or acquire another country's citizenship, nor given due process or a choice of allegiance at our age of majority as accorded by the Canadian Citizenship Act! The 1977 Citizenship Act made it impossible to loose nationality and citizenship. It's therefore unjustifiably unfair those of us who lost it automatically prior to then still have to deal with the inequities, injustices and consequences of archaic laws! If laws supposedly evolve to correct past injustices for others including children born abroad, Japanese immigrants, First Nations, even Senators and House of Commons Members born outside Canada, why hasn't it evolved for those of us born in Canada?

It does not contain a complete statement of the law in this area. For legal advice about this or any other area of the law, contact a lawyer. If you do not know a lawyer, call the Lawyer Referral Service What is the Victims of Family Violence Act The Victims of Family Violence Act is a provincial law which came into effect on December 16, 1996. It addresses the need for victims of family violence to stay in their own homes; provides a civil way to supplement the Criminal Code of Canada ; and enables the justice system to provide a more effective and timely response to family violence. The Act is meant to be used together with the Criminal Code . In appropriate cases the police will lay charges under the Criminal Code and will also seek an order, on behalf of the victim, under the Victims of Family Violence Act Prince Edward Island is the second province in Canada to enact family violence legislation. Saskatchewan's Victims of Domestic Violence Act has been in effect since February, 1995.
