Related Links Loch Ness Monster, a prehistoric animal? Question: Do you think that the Loch Ness Monster is some type of prehistoric animal, or is it just a deep sea creature? Answer: I really don't know what the Loch Ness animal is actually. It could just be a deep water animal that thrives in lakes such as Loch Ness. It would be nice for it to be a Pleisiosaur or some such marine reptile holdover from the Mesozoic. But there is no strong evidence that there is any such creature yet, just some fuzzy photos and sonar sightings. None of which are very convincing. Dino Russ
