The study is concentrated on the both microbial and chemical syntheses of biodegradable polymers which are environment-friendly new-polymeric materials. The objective of the study on biopolymers is to understand the nature and mechanism of biological polymerization and to design new polymer compounds with biodegradable and biocompatible properties. In addition, the structure and properties of enzymes for biosynthesis and hydrolysis of polyesters have been investigated.
