A Lakewood Republican stealing campaign signs late one night got nabbed when he ran across a low- hanging driveway chain, fell face first onto a pilfered sign and the concrete and knocked himself unconscious. Randal Wagner, 50, was loaded into an ambulance, treated at Lutheran Medical Center for abrasions and facial cuts and issued a summons. Wagner, who unsuccessfully tried to steal a "Dave Thomas" congressional sign that evening, had signs for other Democratic candidates in his Toyota pickup, Wheat Ridge police reported. "I did a very stupid thing," Wagner said Monday, admitting theft of the signs. "I got caught up in the political passions of this highly contested election." Wagner said that he and his wife, Jan, who was driving their pickup that night, "want to apologize to the people" they have offended. "Everybody has a right to express their political opinions," Randal Wagner said.

I love the new Yahoo mail. It's rapidly becoming my primary mail system. Good spam blocking, great user interface, really works on all my computers/browsers. Gmail doesn't. And the Gmail UI is looking pretty pale compared to Yahoo's. Now we're in a sweet spot, possibly a very sweet spot. Two great development companies competing for our attention, and neither of them is Microsoft. Come to think of it, neither is Apple. Yahoo! I found a workaround for a display problem in the Mac version of the OPML Editor and wonder if it works for others. Also, last night while watching the coverage of Hurricane Rita on CNN and MSNBC, I did my first real programming on the Mac. Since my development environment is cross-platform, and since I was a Mac user for many years, the learning curve was practically non-existent. I found the experience very empowering. My first project was converting all the back-issues of DaveNet into a static archive. Most of the pieces were written in an outliner, so most of them can be saved in OPML. Not only do I want to create a permanent downloadable archive so this stuff doesn't get lost, it also forms a very large base of OPML documents for people to play with. This may be useful for people working on OPML search tools.

Home Page "This Republican Party of Lincoln has become a party of theocracy." U.S. Representative Christopher Shays, R-CT, more Theocracy is derived from the two Greek words Qeo/j(Theos) meaning "God" and kra/tein (cratein) meaning "to rule." Theocracy is the civil rule of God. Theocrats aim for dominion, or control, over their societies in the name of God. D. James Kennedy is Pastor of Coral Ridge Ministries, a $37-million-a-year empire, with a TV-and-radio audience of 3 million. He said at a "Reclaiming America for Christ" conference in February, 2005 Our job is to reclaim America for Christ, whatever the cost. As the vice regents of God, we are to exercise godly dominion and influence over our neighborhoods, our schools, our government, our literature and arts, our sports arenas, our entertainment media, our news media, our scientific endeavors in short, over every aspect and institution of human society.

Sep 24 , 6:43 PM National Bushistan Museum In Doubt by Stirling Newberry
I'm not crying
. Freepdom needs to be in a museum, not to have one. This project was Orwellian from the start, as people around the US were running around talking about 9/11 as if "freedom" had anything to do with what happened. Freedom had nothing to do with what happened, except perhaps that terrorists that the Bush executive knew about were allowed to run around free. It had to do with America's position as a global power, and the fact that Al-Qaeda wants a different, nastier, world order in place. Unfortunately America is more like the demon that they concocted for themselves than it was on September 10th 2001, and much more than it was before the Five gave the Chimperial Presidency.
