Top 10 Reasons To Visit Africa
Africa remains the last natural habitat for a majority of the wildlife we cherish and admire. It is also the only preserved and pristine continent that prides a combination of culture and traditions from yesteryear creating a true to life experience for all visitors.
Visit Africa For Its:
1. Wildlife Watching and Nature Safaris In Tanzania:
Tanzania prides huge numbers of wildlife spread all over the country and each of these wildlife display their own characteristics particular to the ecosystem. With Tanzania's national park and game reserves located so remotely such as Selous and Mahale Mountains, AfricanMecca guests have the opportunity to view one of Africa's few resources preserved by nature and almost untouched by mankind. Tanzania's rich biodiversity can be done by taking a count of the following: 3000 lions in the Selous, regular sightings of African Hunting Dogs in Ruaha extinct in most parts of Africa, Chimpanzees in Mahale and Gombe in their natural habitat, circumambulation of a million wildebeests in the Serengeti and the list goes on.

Top 10 Reasons To Visit Kenya
Kenya is a country which only needs three reasons to describe how beautiful it is and why it should be visited, which would inevitably make each and every discerning visitor reading this article want to partake in a true and genuine African experience. However, on the other hand we can only feel excited about the tourism opportunities and would like to share with our guests a little more than that.
Visit Kenya For Its:
Wildlife Watching and Nature Safaris:
Lets begin with the word "Safari" used on a day-to-day basis when wanting to describe a wildlife related itinerary in Africa and even other parts of the world; the word stems from the Kiswahili or Swahili language, whose linguistic birth is in East Africa (Kenya, Tanzania and Zanzibar), making the region an original and authentic African wildlife safari destination as rightfully described by the early European Hunters. Kenya is a country where nature has been exceedingly gracious. Within one country you can travel through lush green forests, deserts, equatorial rainforests, montane vegetation, mountains and witness thousands of wildlife, birdlife and insectlife species being supported and sustained within the respective ecology. Furthermore and coincidently, Kenya also boasts the big five wildlife above the ground as well as the big five below the Indian Ocean waters.

MUSEUMS, ETHNICITY AND DEMOCRACY A Proposal for a Project - The National Museums of Kenya Mohamed Isahakia 1. Introduction The proposal covers a 3 year programme of activities designed to facilitate the National Museums of Kenya's (NMK) role in establishing a partnership with local communities to revive traditional knowledge on conflict resolution. The proposed budget is US$250,000.00. The programme will focus on developing the regional Museums as forums for cultural dialogue among different ethnic communities. Key activities will include training in traditional conflict resolution, use of indigenous knowledge information for wider advocacy on key issues affecting the scope of peace in the region and enhancing the recognition of traditional elders as peace makers at community level. Through the shared experience of developing community based multi-ethnic exhibits on traditional conflict management in the Museums, local communities will be encouraged to work closely among themselves. These activities aimed at utilization of cultural resources as a basis for promoting ethnic harmony will allow the Museum to assume a more prominent role in nation building by educating and mobilizing the local communities to minimize conflict while making new choices. 2. http://www.ssrc.org/programs/gsc/gsc_activities/field_building/nabudere_report1.
Interim Report for the "Field Building" Project Workshop was held at the Ridar Hotel, Seeta, Kampala, November 2001
This Workshop was approved by the Program Committee on Global Security and Cooperation of the Social Science Research Council-SSRC-GSC at its Belfast meeting at the beginning of September 2001. It is part of the process of "Field Building" activities that seek to bring together the different kinds of knowledge obtained by different researchers such as academics, practitioners, and custodians of indigenous knowledge with a view to developing the mechanisms for integrating, synthesizing, and transferring skills and expertise available in each of these different knowledges to a wider audience and to all actors.
The Workshop was held on time as envisaged. In Belfast it was agreed that the Workshop would be held at the beginning of November 2001. In fact dates were fixed from 6th-8th November, to enable the members of the Committee on GSC to examine the possibility of attending the Workshop since they had been indicated in the project as part of the participants. Eventually the date was changed to 5th-7th November by the steering committee to enable participants to arrive at the week-end and begin the Workshop at the beginning of the week, which also happened to be a good timing for airline schedules.
In the event, all members of the committee of GSC did not attend. Special effort had been made by both Charles Hale and Ibrahim Dibrin to attend but they found themselves to do so due to different reasons. This gave us an opportunity to widen the African component as well as the regional spread to enable comparing of experiences in different African regions.
