Delivering the Site
This week you begin to cut the cord and develop a plan to deliver the product to the client. Issues you will need to discuss include:
  • Where will the site be stored? The site needs to be at the client's Web site when we do the final presentation in December.
  • I recommend you load the site and have the client watch as you move it. If they are fairly technical they can help you move the files.
  • Provide the client with a copy of following items on a disc or CD.
  • Web pages and Web images
  • PSD source files
  • Project site
  • Client Manual
  • View Examples of Client Manuals
  • Provide instructor with a copy of following items on a disc or CD.
  • Web pages and Web images
  • PSD source files
  • Project site
  • Client Manual
  • This is a good time to view the list of deliverables and make sure you have provided most of them.

Lesson 1 - Course Introduction all attend
    homework due this week
WELCOME to CIS 58.54 and CIS 58.55. These courses have several unique elements; working with clients from the community, developing the Web site as a team, and meeting both online and in the classroom. I will address each of these issues in this lesson. During the traditional classroom meetings we will discuss how the project is progressing and introduce the next development phase. Online weeks will be spent creating elements of the project, meeting with the client and working with your teammates.
Since a great deal of the communication will take place as email students are required to check their email daily during the week M-F. This course requires students to work independently, meet deadlines, and work effectively with others. If you are confused about an assignment or your role on the team please contact your instructor. The ideal student is one who is highly motivated, hard working, able to meet deadlines, communicates effectively, solves problems, and is flexible enough to change when needed.

    Diary Page List
These are all the diary pages on a row. As I take time, I'll add subheadings and comments, and maybe throw in tags to jump to sub-subjects. Note that I've (aug 2001) added text to all the page references. At Nov 17, 2001, I've replaced the xoom and later nbci based files by tripod copies, because that site seems down. Most links and pictures should be fine, but it might be some deeper links are corrupted. All files should be on, though. Sunday, March 10 2002, I think I've made this list work neatly again, everything should be a click away, also the older pages with pictures.

I did get a e-mail about it a while back which I forgot to post but here is is now:
    Hi Hansi,
I read your post on the Mac EmuScene board. Thanks for responding. Regarding, the progress of the case I think Connectix has attempted to keep their site updated. At this point, there is a case on the trade secrets issue starting March 5 once the outcome of that is determined, I'm sure it will be available in major media (CNET etc . . .), but I'll post it around at that time. There is also a patent infringement suit that Sony has brought that is still in its very early stages I think that significant developments there will be in major media as well! Again, thanks for responding and asking around on your site for people who can help me Good luck with your site!

The Bottom Line The bottom line is already a classic..
There are many great period movies out there, and I already went over many of them in my Favorite Period Fantasy Movies List so let's limit this one to the classics, shall we? Now, how to define 'classic.' I think usually this would mean anything older than 20 years, but for the purposes of this particular list I think I'll go back even farther and say anything released before 1970....
    Camelot
(1967) ~ Is there anything more universally intriguing than the story of King Arthur, Guenevere, and Sir Lancelot? It's been done time and again, but never as well as this classic musical from 1967. This is the usual slant, with Arthur being the king of Camelot and marrying the gorgeous Guenevere.. only to have her fall in love with his best friend and finest knight, Lancelot. Of course we have the foul son Mordred plotting Camelot's destruction at every opportunity.... Stars Richard Harris, Vanessa Redgrave, and Franco Nero.
The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938) ~ The wonderful Errol Flynn in the title role as the dashing forest dweller who robs from the rich and gives to the poor. As much as I like later versions of this tale, this one will always reign supreme.

First mentioned ( A.D. 297) by the Roman writer Eumenius as northern invaders of Roman Britain, they were probably descendants of late Bronze Age and early Iron Age invaders of Britain. Their language is thought to have been a superimposition of Celtic on a pre-Celtic and non-Indo-European language, but there is no undisputed interpretation of it or their culture. By the early 7th cent. there was a unified Pictish kingdom north of a line from the Clyde to the Forth rivers. It apparently had a matrilinear system of succession and had probably adopted Celtic Christianity. To the south of the Picts, Scottish invaders from Ireland had established the kingdom of Dalriada in the 5th cent. Between 843 and 850 Kenneth I , king of Dalriada, established himself also as king of the Picts, although how and why is not clear. The kingdom of Alba thus formed became the kingdom of Scotland. The mission of St. Columba (563) from Ireland reintroduced Christianity to Scotland. The usages of the Celtic Church differed in various details from those of Rome, introduced in the south of Britain by St. Augustine. Conflict between the two was settled in favor of Roman usage decided at the Synod of Whitby in 663, but Scottish Christianity only slowly adopted the Roman forms. After the decline of the Northumbrian power in Scotland began the raids of the Norsemen, who harried the country from the 8th to the 12th cent. In 794 they attacked the islands off Scotland and soon returned to live in the Hebrides; by 870 they were established in what came to be Caithness and Sutherland. In the mid-9th cent. Kenneth I established his rule over nearly all the land N of the Firth of Forth. His descendants pushed into Northumbria and by the 11th cent. ruled all of present Scotland except N Pictland and the islands.
