Maintain your movement with the
first intelligent motorized exercizer!
Great Lakes Medical is proud to represent the Reck family's product line of motorized movement trainers. MOTOmed products include the MOTOmed Viva Pico Letto and upper body trainers
Designed specifically for Multiple Sclerosis, spinal cord injury, Cerebral Palsy, and brain injury patients. Used extensively worldwide for rehabilitation and physical therapy.

The MOTOmed has been enthusiastically received by persons with M.S., spinal cord injury, Cerebral Palsy, physicians and therapists. It has far surpassed other movement trainers with its unique features, superior engineering and innovative design. Physicians and therapists agree the MOTOmed is a safe, easy way to maintain range of motion and increase strength. One of the most beneficial features is the computerized, hand-held remote control. Most individuals are naturally apprehensive about machines moving their arms and legs. The remote control automatically programs the accurate amount of pedal pressure that is within your tolerable limit. If you resist the movement or push too hard, the unique anti-spasm control gently stops the pedal movement and after a few seconds resumes the motion in the opposite direction. You can feel confident knowing the system will not move you too fast or push you too far. You will enjoy using the MOTOmed because you are able to control the velocity of movement, direction of movement, the resistance, and pedal pressure with the hand-held remote control. This sense of control increases your utilization and thereby increases the effectiveness of training sessions.

It also focuses on methods of evaluating the functions of these systems and on the selection and application of appropriate therapeutic interventions to alleviate pain; to maintain, improve, or restore function; and to prevent dysfunction. The Profession Physical therapists are specialists in evaluating and treating disorders of the human body by using physical means rather than drugs. They are legally and ethically responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating a physical therapy program. This responsibility often includes instructing patients and their families and supervising physical therapist assistants, physical therapy aides, students, and other healthcare workers in carrying out the program or selected parts of it. The physical therapist consults and works closely with the patient's physician and other healthcare practitioners in establishing treatment objectives which are realistic and consistent with the patient's needs.
