Philosophy in the United States
G. Stanley Hall First published in Mind Posted September 2001
Editor's footnote added March 2002
There are nearly 300 non-Catholic colleges in the United States , most of them chartered by the legislatures of their respective states, and conferring the degree of A.B. upon their students at the end of a four years' course, and A.M. three years after graduation. In nearly all these institutions certain studies, æsthetical , logical, historical, most commonly ethical, most rarely psychological, are roughly classed as philosophy and taught during the last year almost invariably by the president. The methods of instruction and examination are so varied that it is impossible in the space at our disposal to report in detail upon the nature and value of the work done in these institutions. More than 200 of them are strictly denominational, and the instruction given in philosophy [p. 90] is rudimentary and mediaeval. More than 60 which in the annual catalogue claim to be non-sectarian are, if not pervaded with the spirit of some distinct religious party, yet strictly evangelical. Indeed there are less than half a dozen colleges or universities in the

On the concept of WW III
On the Dynamics of Human Philosophy
Well, admist my exams had a few thoughts to put on this and share with the folks of the world. I have been practicing the eastern system of astrology for quite a long time, one reason being I find it very fascinating on how planets affect the course of events in this world. I have been very interested in the way the cosmos works. After all we are all STAR MATTER :) ......
I few of my friends were asking the other day as to what I thought about the present nature of world affairs and I got into quite a discussion. It is my firm belief that inspite of the preventative measures we might take to avoid a new WORLD WAR. I still feel apprehensive and certain that the events of the world are drawing close such a situation becoming quite a reality. There could be quite a few planetry combinations that I could cite leading me to believe a WW senerio. However, I will refrain from mentioning about such combinations at this point solely because much of the general public would not be able to comprehend the nature of the details.

Autism Programs
Facilitating Recovery for Children with Autism
and Their Families arents to bring their children as far on the road to recovery from autism as possible. We also provide programs for children with other neurological, developmental and neuro-muscular difficulties. Our three-person team has 44 years of collective experience in home education for children with autism spectrum disorders. We work with a limited number of families, providing them with the inspiration, tools and continuing support needed for a successful home program. Read the profiles of after a Growing Minds program.
Experience has convinced us that children on the autism spectrum develop most successfully and rapidly when their special social, educational and physiological needs are met and balanced within an individualized, comprehensive program alternative to the Son Rise Program* and can be used effectively to enhance play-based, biomedical, sensory, auditory and school programs. Our Autism Program integrates:
  • Play-based, relationship-oriented methods.

"There can be no knowledge without emotion. We may be aware of a truth, yet until we have felt its force, it is not ours. To the cognition of the brain must be added the experience of the soul."
