..........courthouse pre 1885............ Welcome to the Chester County Pennsylvania Genealogy Project. I'm happy to tell you that some of the contents of the old Chester County site are being returned to us by the previous county coordinator, and I am in the process of editing and adding the over 9000 county cemetery burials that had been submitted by many researchers to the old Chester site.....it will take me a while to add them all so check back occasionally to see what I've added. However, not all of the old site is available to us, so if you contributed data in the past and still have a copy of the material, please consider donating it again...and, all you first time submitters are most welcome... If willing to add to our collective knowledge, please send me your name, email address and name of the resources for lookups or what data you wish to share. My name is Sandra Ferguson and my email is ferg@ntelos.net If, when surfing this site you find broken links, PLEASE let me know what isn't working, will you? There are just too many for me to check them all, and I would appreciate it if you'll notify me. All my paternal folks were from the area, and many arrived either with or not long after Wm. Penn (with a few Swedes already here to greet them), so I have an abiding interest in both the area and its people...this site reflects my interests. Please let me hear from you about YOUR interests...... I welcome your suggestions.

Recently, a volunteer on this list sent me the following note. Please read it and consider it carefully. Volunteers are precious resources that the genealogy community can not afford to abuse. I am no longer able to do lookups due to the volume of emails I receive for help not related to my resource. I have people emailing me to get them birth certificates, to offer general genealogy advice, to do tombstone rubbings () - all sorts of stuff that has nothing to do with my resource. It is out of hand and I can't sit here going through my email weeding out this garbage every day. I have had it. I am very sorry, and I know I have helped several people and I am glad of it - but there are too many people out there who are emailing me inappropriately. Please remove my address from your site.
