a non-profit organisation founded to promote the science of palaeontology through study and education American Association of Stratigraphic Palynologists (AASP) AASP was established in 1967 by a group of 31 founding members to promote the science of palynology in academia and industry. Today AASP has a world-wide membership of about 500 and is run by an executive comprising an elected Board of Directors and subsidiary boards and committees. AASP welcomes new individuals as members who are interested in the science of palynology and institutional members.

As part of the geoinformatics initiative, this page provides geologists and researchers the ability to search the Bureau of Economic Geology (UT at Austin) database for geological sample materials, which include whole core, slabbed core, bagged core, sidewall core, washed cuttings, unwashed cuttings, core chips, core plugs outcrop samples, logs, paleontology samples, palynology samples, or geochemistry fluid, soil, or powder. Data provided for wells include API, lease, formations, lythology, operator, core depth interval, and whether the samples are available at our core research centers in Austin, Houston, or Midland, Texas.
Integrated Log And Core Database (IGOR)
This search page will help you locate a variety of geological material* (generally core) and geophysical well logs that are stored in our facilities. Note: If you're looking for logs, use our new Log Search Tool Use one or more criteria below to search for core. The results will show (1) wells that match your criteria, (2) core or logs associated with those wells, and (3) links for further information about the core or logs. Criteria marked with an asterisk ( ), such as State/Province, allow you to select more than one value by holding down the Ctrl key on your keyboard while clicking on the values.

Pollen under microscope Palynology is the science that studies contemporary and fossil palynomorphs , including pollen spores dinoflagellate cysts ... chitinozoans and scolecodonts , together with particulate organic matter (POM) and kerogen found in sedimentary rocks and sediments The term palynology was introduced by Hyde and Williams in , following correspondence with the Swedish geologist Antevs, in the pages of the Pollen Analysis Circular (one of the first journals devoted to pollen analysis, and produced by Paul Sears in North America). Hyde and Williams chose palynology on the basis of the Greek words paluno meaning to sprinkle, and pale meaning dust (and thus similar to the Latin word pollen Palynology is an interdisiplinary science, and is a branch of earth science geology or geological science) and biological science biology ), particularly plant science botany Stratigraphical palynology is a branch of Palaeontology and micropalaeontology which studies fossil palynomorphs from the Holocene to Precambrian
