    Rebound Designs
Found this via Boingboing . Kind of a neat craft idea to do with old books. Maybe could work as a library workshop or even fundraiser?
Rebound Designs - Rebound Designs - About
Are the Book Bags made from actual books?
Yes, these purses are all made from real old hardback books, the pages are removed and the cover is left intact. The spine becomes the bottom of the purse, so the longer the book, the wider the purse.
Don't you feel bad cutting up all those books?
Not really. Most of these books were damaged or being thrown away to begin with, I don't cut up valuable books or books in fantastic condition. I take great care to find books that are already falling apart or are unwanted, like out of date textbooks. posted by Adri @ 3:51 PM 0 comments

House Resolution 1039, by State Rep. Sally Kern
The book, “King & King,” by Linda de Haan and Stern Nijland, tells the story of a prince whose mother, the queen, insists it is time for him to marry (although the prince tells the queen he has “never cared much for princesses"). Several women visit the castle before "Princess Madeleine and her brother, Prince Lee" appear, when the two men immediately fall for one another.
The resolution was adopted on a 81-3 vote of the Oklahoma House of Representatives.
Copies of House Resolution 1039 will be distributed to the American Library Association, the Oklahoma Library Association, Oklahoma City Mayor Mick Cornett, the Oklahoma City Council and the Metropolitan Library Commission.
