PETITION FOR RESIDENCY All except bona fide residents of Oklahoma must pay a nonresident fee in addition to other fees and must meet nonresident admission criteria. Members of the armed services stationed in Oklahoma and their dependents are ordinarily eligible for nonresident fee waivers but must pay the nonresident application fee and are subject to nonresident admission criteria. Any applicant presenting a transcript of credit from an educational institution outside of Oklahoma will be assumed to be a non-resident. It is the responsibility of each applicant to submit any question about resident status to the Office of Admissions for a decision. A uniform policy concerning resident status exists for all state supported institutions of higher education in Oklahoma. Students may obtain residency petitions from the Office of Admissions and Records. Once the petition has been completed, it must be submitted to the Admissions Office for evaluation. Once a decision has been made, the student will be notified of their residency status as well as the Office of Financial Aids, the Bursar's Office and the student's college will be notified the residency status as well.
