Dance Nova Scotia(DANS)
  • is the provincial umbrella organization for all forms of dance. is primarily a service organization dedicated to the promotion and development of dance as a cultural, educational, healthful, social, and recreational activityserves all forms of dance and works to increase the availability of dance to all Nova Scotians of all ages, backgrounds and abilities recognizes and supports those practitioners of dance who strive for excellence in teaching,competition and performance. recognizes the importance of dance as part of the larger cultural framework impacting on the lives of Nova Scotians and works through the Cultural Federations of Nova Scotia and with other cultural organizations and agencies for the improvement in quality of life value and economic value that result from cultural activity.
Role
Dance in all its forms is an important aspect of Nova Scotia culture. Dance Nova Scotia is the umbrella agency mandated to bring the various elements of the dance community together inorder to encourage its developement..
Goal
To serve the community by working in concert with existing dance schools and organizations to:

We have been operating as a chapter for about 5 years. A success Walk the World for Schizophrenia Walks in NS this fall ... Street Feat:Back Issues on web page Card designed by Mark Patriquin. Used by our local chapter for get well .
