Web Resources on Parental Involvement in Education
By Mary M. Chaffee
The theme of this issue of CC-VI FORUM is parental involvement in education. There are many perspectives from which to view parental involvementas a parent, teacher, school, educator, researcher, practitioner, etc. We have tried to include those web sites which are well organized, resourceful and together offer a variety of these different perspectives. In some instances, links to specific articles on parental involvement are highlighted rather than the web site itself. For a more comprehensive listing of some of the numerous resources available on this topic, we urge you to visit our online resource library available on our web site at http://www.wcer.wisc.edu/ccvi/links/subject_areas.asp. "The ABC's of Parent Involvement in Education: Preparing Your Child for a Lifetime of Success"
http://www.ed.gov/G2K/community/98-05.html

For information on obtaining a copy, look under the Community Update section. Click on Number 57, May 1998 (number 4 in the Table of Contents). Then, under the Table of Contents click on "Announcements." You might also want to click on the article entitled "Education Leaders' Use Technology to Get Parents Involved In Education."
