The underlying physical laws necessary for the mathematical theory of a large part of physics and the whole of chemistry are thus completely known, and the difficulty is only that the exact application of these laws leads to equations much too complicated to be soluble. " P.A.M. Dirac, 1929 Triangle high school students! Consider enrolling in "Explorations in Computational Chemistry", a three-part series that provides opportunities to learn how to do computational chemistry. More information is available if you are interested! Already have an account? If so, you can login to the server . If not, read below for instructions on getting an account! Welcome to the NCHSCCS! Support Materials Readings, Activities, and Labs The North Carolina High School Computational Chemistry Server is a research-grade scientific workstation that contains three of the most widely used research software programs (Gaussian, GAMESS, and MOPAC) for calculating the structure and properties of chemical molecules. This resource is provided free of charge to all students and teachers in the State of North Carolina. Students in public, private, parochial, charter, and home schools are all eligible to use this resource. There are two types of accounts available for this resource:

Private vs. Public Schools: What's the Difference?
(Page 1 of 3) Your goal is to find a school that will meet your child's needs. But how do you choose between a public school and a private school? By Victoria Thorp and Jesse James, GreatSchools.net Staff
    Cost
Public schools cannot charge tuition. They are funded through federal, state and local taxes. When you pay your taxes, you are paying for your child's education and the education of other children in your community. Private schools cost money. Private schools do not receive tax revenues, but instead are funded through tuition, fundraising, donations and private grants. According to the National Association of Independent Schools, the median tuition for private day schools in the United States is close to $12,000 for grades 1 to 3, $13,000 for grades 6 to 8 and $15,000 for grades 9 to 12. The median tuition for boarding schools is $12,000 for grades 1 to 3, $27,000 for grades 6 to 9, and $28,000 for grades 9 to 12. Parochial schools generally charge somewhat less.
