Our West African Trips
CAMEROON OMNIBUS
Combine time on the beach, mountain hiking in a rainforest (rainforest hiking in the mountains?), and discovering the rich culture of West Cameroon and you've got our OmniTour. Rubber and cocoa plantations, lush rain forest, black sand beaches, a world-class botanical garden, and a great primate center await you in Cameroon’s Southwest. In the Northwest Province, you’ll learn about the incredibly rich traditional culture and history of the grasslands people and tour the beautiful Ring Road. Optional activities include visiting Korup National Park, Kribi’s beaches and Pygmie villages, and the Sultan's Palace in Foumban, Cameroon's Moslem center.
Itinerary
  • Day 1 - Arrival: Arrive Douala, drive to Limbe, and orientation. Day 2 - Beachin’: A day to unwind, tour the town, or hang out at the beach. Limbe is a picturesque little town, situated on a bay of the Gulf of Guinee. Beautiful palm vistas, traditional African market, and interesting bars and shops. Day 3,4 - Mt. Cameroon: Trek the highest mountain in West Africa! Beautiful scenery, unique wildlife and plant communities. For those less physically inclined, we offer the option of a trip to the white sand beaches of Kribi and a side trip to visit Pygmie villages in the forest.

With his battered melodica in hand, Albarn traveled to Bamako and surrounding areas recording both street musicians and Mali's all-star musicians. The sixteen tracks that appear on Mali Music were recorded at bars, street corners, on boats, parties, jam sessions and concerts. However, Albarn went beyond just producing field recordings or collecting musical samples to embellish his own music. While it's true that the opener
