The Facility
Spruce Meadow Farm is a unique facility with its friendly, family-oriented atmosphere and emphasis on maintaining a caring, nurturing environment for both horse and rider. The farm is conveniently located only 10 minutes from Eastern Hills Mall in Clarence, N.Y. We offer horse riding lessons and a horse summer camp . We work with entry level students, and the more advance, to give them the basic equestrian skills needed to compete at a show level. We also present several horse shows each year allowing our students and others to compete and show off their equestrian skills. We feature two 14 stall barns; one with a connected 100' by 60' indoor arena where lessons are held during in clement weather. There are also two outdoor riding areas - a 140' by 70' arena and a 120' by 240' hunt course, as well as a 2 acre pasture. A primary focus is the comfort of equine and human residents and visitors. Cleanliness and safety are top priorities and there are always ongoing projects to upgrade and improve the quality of the care and the premises. Slated for this coming year are painting and improvements to the interior and exterior of both barns and the addition of shredded rubber to the footing in the indoor arena.

The New York Film Academy was founded thirteen years ago on a belief that a top quality education in filmmaking should be accessible to anyone with the drive and ambition to make films. The school opened in Robert De Niro’s Tribeca Film Center. Today the New York Film Academy occupies its own building, formerly known as Tammany Hall, as well as a complete school facility at Universal Studios and locations in a variety countries.
The New York Film Academy believes that the correct path for filmmakers is to immediately start making their own films in a hands-on intensive working environment. To this end, all students begin making their own films in the first week of all our workshops.
About our Filmaking Programs
AMC, the premiere 24-hour movie based cable network, and the New York Film Academy have teamed up to create a one-week intensive movie making course.

The New York Film Academy High School Filmmaking summer camp provides an undergraduate level of training in filmmaking, using the same equipment as the nation's leading undergraduate film programs.
From July to August of 2005, the New York Film Academy will enjoy its sixth summer at the Dalton School, one of the most well-respected preparatory schools in New York City. Classes are held through the morning and/or the afternoon, and combine supervised summer camps on New York City sites and the shooting of the student's own projects. Because the school is a short walk from two beautiful locations-Central Park and Carl Shurz Park overlooking the East River - cinematography lessons and film exercises often take place there, providing relaxed, unique places to shoot. Students also have the opportunity to direct in supervised, interior and exterior shoots on the Upper East Side and throughout the city.

Summer Arts Camp
Every year three weeks in July are set aside by the education department to host a Summer Arts Camp for children ages 7 to 13 at the Museum. Participating day campers choose to pursue either a theater or visual arts session. Both sessions culminate with an open house day for friends and family to admire completed projects. THEATER CAMP - Participants will learn the basics of character development, voice projection, stage presence, set development, and script writing while working toward a final play to present to their families! FINE ARTS CAMP - Children will explore art and history through the eyes of some of the world's most famous artists and create their own landscape paintings, sculptures, and "plein air" drawings! Tuition for the three week session is $180 per child (Hyde members receive a 20% discount). For more information or to register your child for summer camp at The Hyde, contact Sara Hallberg, director of education at 518-792-1761, ext. 27 or email shallberg@hydecollection.org
