Guarantee Agencies Federal student loans are extremely low risk loans, as compared with other types of unsecured loans, in part because the Federal government guarantees them against default. Implementing Technology in Education: Recent Findings from Research and Evaluation Studies By John Cradler, Far West Laboratory This article suggests the approach to implement technology based on the authors 25 years of experience in this area, plus the findings of studies related to technology implementation. The approach suggested emphasizes instructional and student needs first and then through planning integrates technology in ways that enhance and extend instructional and learning opportunities. This approach is currently being applied in the implementation of technologies tested as part of the CAETI program to transfer and adapt defense technologies to education. A. It has been repeatedly found that careful planning is a prerequisite for the effective implementation of technology and telecommunications in education and training. Lessons about planning for technology have made their way to national guidelines and programs.
