49. About NJSCA: Greetings
government agency to promote arts throughout the state. Includes a listing of council members, meeting information, grant details, and art awards.
http://www.njartscouncil.org/about1.html
Greetings Welcome to the official web site of the New Jersey State Council on the Arts (NJSCA). Carol Ann Herbert
Chair
Created as an agency of state government, the NJSCA operates as a division within the Department of State. Its purpose is to encourage and give financial support to artists, arts organizations and projects throughout New Jersey. We are proud that our support is bringing the benefits of the arts to audiences exceeding 15 million annually. As a result of our grant programs, the NJSCA is the largest single contributor to the arts in New Jersey. We are also an advocate for arts activities and events in our state's communities, schools, hospitality centers and urban entertainment complexes.
The NJSCA receives funding through direct appropriations from the State of New Jersey and grants from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA). In addition to direct funding to arts organizations and projects, the NJSCA supports activities and events carried out by non-profit organizations and artists whose combined efforts move nearly a billion dollars through our state's economy every year.

A WELCOME FROM OUR COUNTY EXECUTIVE Thank you for taking the time to learn about Mercer County. I am honored to have the opportunity to serve as your County Executive. The face of county government is changing for the first time in 12 years, and I promise to build a team that will be both responsible with your tax dollars and responsive to your needs. County government can bring us together because it is large enough to make a difference yet small enough to touch the individual. Our team will be guided by a passion for public service, for doing the right thing, and for reaching those who feel overlooked. We will work to build a government that reflects the diversity of faces, ideas and ambitions of our citizens.
Mercer County has much to offer. We are rich in history, having been the scene for two revolutions: Major battles in the Revolutionary War took place in Trenton and in Princeton, and county government operates from the very building that served as a hub of the Industrial Revolution.
