The Full-time Advantage The Whittemore School’s full-time MBA provides students the opportunity to gain general business knowledge, develop in-depth knowledge through a choice of specializations, and lastly, provides a venue for students to apply those skills via real world, real time corporate based projects. The program begins each September with a month long residency. This intensive residency provides students with an introduction to the University and the M.B.A. program in addition to providing core competencies and strategies needed to be successful in the program. The remainder of the first year is spent taking the nine required courses over three terms. The second year, again begins with a month-long residency focusing on such topics as information systems, ethics, and preparation for the second-year projects. In the second year, students are actively involved in off-site projects or faculty research in addition to completing areas of specialization. Specializations Marketing and Supply Chain Management
This specialization covers such topics as market research and analysis, new product and services development to production and final delivery. A cross-functional approach is utilized to teach students how to manage fundamental value processes involved in the production and marketing of goods and services. The specialization is unique in its integrative emphasis on meeting customer and market needs in an optimally effective and efficient manner given technological and operational constraints.

    RESOURCES
Agriculture: The soil of the state outside the mountain regions is well watered and fairly productive, and good crops are raised of the ordinary farm staples: hay, corn, oats, potatoes, etc., but the chief food supply comes from the west. Industries: By the last census (1900) the gross value of the manufactures in the state is placed at $123,610,904, the net value at $85,008,010. These manufactures are largely confined to the cities and leading towns, which contain 65.8 per cent. of the establishments, manufacture 79.2 per cent of the value, and pay 81.4 per cent of the wages. Among the chief manufactures are boots and shoes, about $23,500,000; leather goods, $23,000,000; lumber, $9,125,000; woollens, $7,700,000; paper and pulp, $7,125,000; machinery, cars, carriages, and furniture. Minerals: Chief among the mineral products is granite, of which there are valuable quarries at Concord, Hooksett, Mason, and other towns. Steatite or soapstone is also found in quantity at Francestown, Orford, and elsewhere; the quarry at Francestown being one of the most valueable in the Union. Graphite, mica, limestone, and slate are also found.

new hampshire s School Readiness report was released last spring in a series the Attorney general; the Coordinator of the new hampshire Highway Safety
    http://www.gettingready.org/matriarch/switch.asp_Q_pageID_E_108
Studies show that educational achievement gaps already exist at Kindergarten entry. Children from low-income families are more likely to start school with limited language skills, health problems and social and emotional problems that interfere with learning. The larger the gap at school entry, the harder it is to close. Schools can improve the readiness of young children by making connections with local child care providers and preschools by creating policies that ensure smooth transitions to kindergarten. Schools must be ready to address the diverse needs of the children and families in their community and be committed to the success of every child.

A Guide to Research in the History of
New Hampshire Towns, 1780-1800 By Karen Bowden with Quentin Blaine and Stephen Marini,
with special thanks to Frank Mevers [This Guide was prepared for use of the site historians and researchers in the "After the Revolution" project. Its value as a research tool for New Hampshire history has led us to reproduce it as part of this volume in a shortened version- Eds. Introduction

Introduction This guide is intended for those who wish to participate in an effort to reassess and, in some cases, examine for the first time the local experience of the difficult years in which the new nation struggled with the consequences of the Revolution and the responsibility of self-government. It encourages research in primary sources-documents which were created during the years in question, 1780-1800. These include town warrants, tax records, deeds, wills, court, and church records, letters and diaries, newspapers and broadsides. Researching the years after the Revolution can be a considerable challenge and requires a good deal of detective work. Records may be scattered over the state and beyond, and some may have been destroyed. A search for a particular kind of record may result in the discovery of the unexpected. This guide has been prepared to assist researchers in identifying and locating pertinent documents and in beginning to interpret them. We hope that use of the guide will result in new insight into the history of the crucial years after the Revolution and into the process of historical research itself.

This page provides information on scholarship opportunities and internet sites that may be helpful. Students should avoid search services and financial aid consultants that charge a fee for their services. These services can be expensive and do not guarantee results. While the Office of Student Affairs makes every attempt to provide current and complete financial resource information, this list is by no means comprehensive. Programs, deadlines, and eligibility requirements are constantly changing. Student Affairs can not assume responsibility for the information provided.
