Applying for a Grant
A central mission of the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation is to provide service to communities and individuals through responsive grantmaking. Grant programs are designed to strengthen NH communities through the nonprofit sector.
A strong nonprofit sector is defined by organizations performing vital services while maintaining an adequate income stream, committed volunteer leadership, and the ability to serve their communities. The nonprofit sector also grows stronger as organizations find ways to link with other nonprofit organizations, local groups and public agencies.
When considering grant applications, the Foundation Directors will consider these broad goals, as well as the specific grantmaking priorities of the Foundation and the regions.
Contact Us Specific questions about grant programs, forms or deadlines should be directed to the Program Department . Program staff are available during regular office hours, Monday through Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm.

SIP/SIG is addressing the following areas that have been identified as fundamental for systems change:
    • Standards for practice
    • Pre-service education
    • Professional development
    • Dissemination of exemplary practices
    • Involvement of children and youth with disabilities
    • Involvement of parents of children with disabilities

The state that has the distinction of being the first presidential primary in the nation. New Hampshire offers some of the most scenic and environmentally pleasing vistas available in any of the 50 states. Because of New Hampshire's rich treasure of natural resources, which adds so much to the quality of life here, over the years state and local lawmakers have enacted some of the most progressive environmental legislation in the country. Not only is the Granite State beautiful, but it's blessed with variety. There is the majestic Presidential Range of the White Mountain National Forest in the north country. The historic seacoast has its beaches and famous Isle of Shoals - a place of both 18th century shipwrecks and a refuge for painters and poets. The beautiful Lakes Region has been a resort for the great and humble for over two hundred years. The farm regions, dispersed throughout the state, with their woodlands, pastures, and stone walls - made famous by former N.H. resident Robert Frost - are aspects of New Hampshire still very much a part of present day life.
