Adapted physical education falls under a related service within an individualized educational program (IEP) under Special Education (IDEA). Our school districts are well aware of their responsibility to provide all such supports, either as a related service under special education or as an accommodation under Section 504, in order to ensure that all NH students with disabilities receive a free appropriate public education (FAPE). Provides that home schooled pupils shall have access to curricular courses or cocurricular programs offered by the school district in which the pupil resides, and that local school boards may establish a policy regulating participation in curricular courses and cocurricular programs, provided the policy is not more restrictive for non-public or home educated pupils than the policy governing the school district's resident pupils.

The New Hampshire Federation of Teachers is the third largest AFL-CIO Union in the State of New Hampshire and has over 2500 members across the State.
