Save a personal copy of this article and quickly find it again with Furl.net. It's free! Save it. PurchasePro.com, Inc. (Las Vegas, NV), which pursues vertical markets with its e-commerce solution, has moved into higher education. The company offers a browser-based system in which staff and faculty can purchase approved items or request purchase of any items in the PurchasePro.com marketplace. It is currently running a pilot with The Business Center North (BCN) Purchasing Department of the University and Community College System of Nevada (UCCSN). That organization serves the purchasing needs of the University of Nevada, Reno, Great Basin College, Truckee Meadows Community College, Western Nevada Community College and the Desert Research Institute. Vendors must subscribe at a cost of approximately $99 per month to participate in the marketplace. Various technical services require additional fees. Gary Bennett, director of marketing, explains that PurchasePro.com contacts every company for which a purchasing department has approved products. Vendors who subscribe to the marketplace are responsible for setting up their own catalog, using PurchasePro marketplace templates, and for building additional catalogs specific to each institution that has approved certain items. These institutional catalogs are made by selecting items from the vendors' main PurchasePro.com catalog on the marketplace.

Did you know. . . * that each day your child is absent from school the district loses approximately $30 in revenue. * it does not matter whether the absence was excused or unexcused, the revenue is lost? * that last year, Union Hill School had about 5500 student days of absence, which is an average of 7.2 days per student for the year. * that is equal to $164,808 in lost revenue. * if your child is ill, we want them to stay home and get well. * if your child does not need to miss the entire day of school, we would like to see them at school. * that you can make a difference. Please try and help us reduce the number of unnecessary absences. Every day at school adds up. If we could improve our attendance rate by 1%, it would mean over $40,000 in additional revenue for the district to improve learning opportunities for our students. Announcing an addition to the Accelerated Reading Program page. We have created an alphabetical list of titles in pdf format. We hope you will find it useful for when you know the name of a book but are not sure of the reading level.
