During his years in the Head Start administration, he created a lending library, initiated a "Reading Buddies" volunteer program for the children, and encouraged parents to read to their children at home. He also supervised a team of teachers, health workers, and child advocate social workers. Mr. Bohman taught Spanish before working for Head Start.
