BLIZZARD BURIES NEW ENGLAND IN RECORD SNOW Jan 24, 2005 — Sounds of snowplows, shovels and scrapers will echo through neighborhoods in New England on Monday in the wake of last weekend's historic blizzard. Excessive snowfall mounted to between one and three feet in most areas, but the Massachusetts towns of Salem and Plymouth topped the list with a total of 38 inches. Powerful winds built drifts of up to seven feet high in some places. OUR SERVICES Our Services at WRJ Medical Center:
The White River Junction VA Medical Center (VAMC) is responsible for delivery of health care to eligible veterans in Vermont and 4 neighboring counties in New Hampshire. Those services are delivered at our main campus at WRJ and in our four Community Based Outpatient Clinics in Bennington, Rutland, and Colchester VT and Littleton, NH. The WRJ VA is closely affiliated with Dartmouth Medical School (DMS) and multiple other nursing and allied health affiliations.
Comprehensive Inpatient and Outpatient Care:
Primary Care Medical services : Available through a blend of staff and contractual arrangements include General Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, Rheumatology, Cardiology, Neurology, Gastroenterology, Infectious Disease, Oncology/ Hematology, Dermatology, ER services and Critical Care. Surgical services : Offered through staff and contractual arrangements include General Surgery, Same Day Surgery, Urology, Optometry, Plastics, Pain, Orthopedics, Vascular, Podiatry, Anesthesiology, ENT, and Oral Surgery. Psychiatric services : Include Emergency Psychiatry, Outpatient Psychiatry at 4 sites, Substance Abuse Rehabilitation and Consultation/Liaison Psychiatry.

U of G celebrates national co-op week with speaker, workshops
The University of Guelph's Co-operative Education Services is celebrating national Co-operative Education Week March 22 to 26 with a keynote presentation and workshops by Melodie Stewart, one of Atlantic Canada's Top 50 CEOs. The keynote and workshops are open to university students, faculty, staff and the general public. Stewart, CEO of Pro-Net Business Connections Inc., has received many awards for her entrepreneurial work. Her network training program is a part of the MBA program at Saint Mary's University in Halifax. The keynote, "The Art of Effective Networking," will take place March 22, 5 - 6 p.m., in War Memorial Hall. The cost is $5 for U of G students and $10 for faculty, staff and the general public. U of G co-op students may attend free of charge. Stewart will also hold two "Tools and Techniques" workshops on March 23, 9 a.m. - noon and 2 - 5 p.m., in Room 103 of the University Centre. The cost is $15 for U of G students, $10 for co-op students and $25 for the general public. To reserve your seats for the keynote or workshops, contact Tricia Bertram Gallant, co-op education co-ordinator, at 824-4120, Ext. 2915.
