African Safari
An African safari takes place in Africa. Africa is a diverse continent rich in cultures, scenery and wildlife. Most tourists travel to Africa to participate in an African safari. Safaris are usually conducted in a vehicle but the more adventurous travelers have participated in African safaris on foot, canoe, boat, horseback, and even elephant back. Passengers on an African safari are always escorted by a guide and sometimes a tracker will join to assist in spotting the wildlife. One can expect to see all kinds of wildlife while on an African safari.
Tanzania Safari
A Tanzania safari is considered the to be among the best available in all of Africa. Tanzania is an East African country most well known for its incredible national parks rich in wildlife. A Tanzania safari will usually take you through the Ngorongoro Crater too see the many animals roaming inside the largest unflooded caldera in the world. A Tanzania safari will also include going through Serengeti National Park where the millions of plains animals, part of the Great Migration, call home nine months of the year. On a Tanzania safari, one can expect to see an incredible amount of wildlife in open plains.
Kenya Safari

"The New Partnership for Africa's Development" (NEPAD) is a strategy document, which reflects a new constellation on the African continent at the beginning of the 21st century. With the transfer to democratic majority rule in South Africa and the collapse of the military dictatorship in Nigeria, two relevant new actors emerged in terms of the continental political agenda. Having both considerable economic weight as regional power houses, their combined annual Gross Domestic Product (GDP) represented in 1999 more than half (57%) of the total GDP of Sub Saharan Africa.
South Africa and Nigeria were the main architects, protagonists and stakeholders in the process resulting in NEPAD and advocating it as the blue print for Africa's development. Their combined economic and political relevance gave weight to their initiative, which was actively supported by Algeria, Egypt and Senegal as other core countries in the initiative.
Critical observers question if this is once again old wine in new bottles. And indeed, its catalogue of socio-economic proposals offers hardly any new conceptual approach. It is largely reflecting in a rather uncritical way the dominant neo-liberal paradigm and discourse of the international financial institutions (World Bank and International Monetary Fund). It hence offers no alternatives to the current trends of economic globalisation but instead adheres to the underlying concept of liberalised trade regimes and the dogma of the private economy.

Safari . The word simply means "travel" in Swahili, but for many, it alludes to wonders first envisioned in childhood: sweeping savannas, big snarling cats, thundering herds of elephant and wildebeest. Like its meaning, the word roams the imagination, becoming other words and places, like serengeti, sahara , or Kilimanjaro . Safari crosses the landscape of the mind, until it finally merges with the name of the great continent itself, Africa. Geographia invites our readers to explore all the traditional African safari destinations, but the game parks and wildlife reserves are only the beginning of the adventure. The second largest continent on Earth, Africa contains more countries than any other. With a history of human habitation that begins with the oldest known ancestors of man, the continent's cultural wealth easily matches its natural attractions. Empires rose and fell in Africa thousands of years before the European powers began their protracted exploitation of the continent, and much pre-colonial culture remains intact.
