Has a criminal and protective services check been conducted on personnel? Keeping children from exposure to illness. Is there a policy to keep sick children home? Are updated immunization records required? Are snacks well-balanced and nutritious? Good Child Care Shouldn't Be Guesswork Look for the Star Rating System Look For These Symbols of Child Care Quality. Licensed/ Registered Child Care Registered child care most often takes place in a residence. In general, Registered child care providers are inspected less frequently than Licensed providers. About 20% are visited by state agencies (including all new applicants). Both Licensed and Registered facilities are eligible for Child and Adult Care Food Program participation.

Planned Parenthood of Montana maintains a resource library containing materials that can assist educators, parents, teens and other community members answer questions with current, accurate, and balanced information. Our collection of written materials and videotapes contains information on a variety of topics related to human health and sexuality, including but not limited to communication, decision-making, healthy and unhealthy relationships, STIs, abstinence, and contraception.
