    Site Navigation:
    Welcome to our Site!
I have always enjoyed the look of the small shortline and industrial railways. These railways, serving mining, timber, farm, and local industry, were vital to the more rural parts of a growing America over the last 100 years.
Due to budget constraints, these railways had to make due with second-hand equipment or equipment built in their own shops. The ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness of the builders and maintainers of these railways is admirable. When I started this railroad, the first thing I did was to make an enlarged copy of the image found at the "The Critter Corner" web page (see "Setting and Timeframe" page) and hang it over my work area. This was to set a style theme for the type of railroad I wanted to build.
The railroad is built as a model of a freelance narrow gauge railroad. This makes the scale six inches to the foot to operate on 15 inch gauge track, and 1:22.5 scale, to operate on 0.650 inch (16.5mm) gauge track. The Coyote Valley Railway exists solely due to the support, effort, and hard work of friends and family.

Electrical "Odds-n-Ends" for Model Railroading Enthusiasts
    Welcome to Scott's Odds-n-Ends! Scott's Odds-n-Ends, Inc.
was founded in 2001 as a result of difficulties we personally experienced trying to find the right relays and other electrical items to make our own model train layout run smoothly. And once we found them, no-one could tell us how to hook them up. (Not in laymen's terms, anyway!) We help take some of the "hassle factor" out of model railroading. I invite you to look through our web site; help is here! Be sure to check What's New to find out the latest updates. There we'll advise you of new products, magazine advertisements, local trade show participation, price changes, etc... Also we've added some Pictures from recent trade shows where Scott's Odds-n-Ends exhibited. Good Stuff!
    Our Mission
To develop, locate and market the miscellaneous electrical related "Odds-n-Ends" that make it easier to run model trains and accessories so operators can spend more time enjoying their layouts. Be easy to do business with; that is, ship promptly, bill correctly and represent our products accurately.
