  • Set proficient level at appropriate grade level. Hold the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education accountable for using teacher input in establishing the cut-point scores for determining proficiency.

The Missouri State Board of Nursing does not have a formal position on the utilization of complimentary and alternative medicine (CAM) therapies. Pursuant to the statute, 536.010 (4)(b), RSMo, the Missouri State Board of Nursing may issue "an interpretation…with respect to a specific set of facts and intended to apply only to that specific set of facts."
Using the Missouri State Board of Nursing's Practice Committee Questionnaire, individuals or entities may ask for Board opinion on specific scope of practice questions related to: (a) their own particular Chapter 335 practice authority, or (b) the entity's licensed nurses. The information that is requested by the Missouri State Board of Nursing in the Practice Committee Questionnaire provides the requestor with some of the critical areas to be addressed even if not submitted to the Board for its opinion. The questions included in the Practice Committee Questionnaire are: 1. Please identify and briefly describe your particular request of the Board, including all relevant specific facts. 2. Has this particular practice matter been brought to the attention of your institution/employer? o no o yes (mark one) If yes, what are their positions? If no, clarify why.
