Note:
In mid-March Dr. Betty Martini sent a letter to the Attorney General's Office in Minnesota concerning American Water Star and their aspartamed water in the public schools. After Dr. Martini's statement you will find the letter they sent her back. The letter Dr. Martini sent them may be found at: http://www.wnho.net/attorney_general_letter.htm
It is of great interest that the Attorney General's Office in Minnesota actually reviewed the FDA's Board of Inquiry report saying not to approve aspartame and to revoke the petition. They even mention it says in large quantities it can contribute to the development of brain tumors. However, they didn't know it was cumulative and the FDA toxicologist, Dr. Adrian Gross, even told Congress they should not have been able to set an allowable daily intake because of the brain tumors. It's sort of like saying don't use too much and maybe you'll only get a little brain tumor. Nor did they know that Searle used people in poor villages in South America as guinea pigs and gave them brain tumors, and then never published the studies. Here is what Dr. Gross told Congress:

Sustainable Building for Schools
Sustainable building addresses the environmental issues associated with conventional school buildings. Sustainable buildings are healthy buildings with good indoor air quality and lighting. They are energy-efficient, use natural resources in an efficient manner, and are operated and maintained in an environmentally friendly fashion. Sustainable buildings utilize non-toxic options for finishes/materials, cleaning supplies, pest management, and grounds maintenance. These resources on sustainable building are intended to introduce school administrators, facilities staff, and teachers to the spectrum of sustainability possible within schools. The list includes general resources, teaching materials, and links to case studies. The resources are organized around several green components: waste prevention and management, procurement, indoor air quality, energy, daylighting, landscaping, and water conservation. Reference copies of these resources are available in the OEA's Education Clearinghouse. Call to set up an appointment for assistance, 651-215-0232 or 800-877-6300, or email at

announced Monday (Aug. 4) the membership of the adjutant general search committee. The committee, lead by Gen. John Vessey, former chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff under President Reagan, will recommend a replacement for Minnesota National Guard Adjutant General Eugene Andreotti. Andreotti’s retirement is effective Aug. 8. The search committee consists of five retired military officials and two civilians. Under his powers as governor, Pawlenty will name the new adjutant general.
Sen. Ellen Anderson , DFL-St. Paul, has postponed her hearing into administration ties to the telecommunications’ industry. Anderson announced the postponement late last week. Republican leaders were gleeful that Anderson opted to postpone. State Republican Party Chairman Ron Eibensteiner called Anderson “a victim of her own overzealous political witchhunt.” “She postponed this hearing because it has become apparent to everyone involved that the DFL’s accusations are without merit and politically motivated,” said Eibensteiner.

    College of Science and Mathematics

If you wish to become a physician, an optometrist, a dentist, a podiatrist, a chiropractor or an osteopath, this fact sheet may answer some of your questions about allied health programs available at North Dakota State University.
    The Program
Pre-professional programs usually consist of four years of college. This is followed by four additional years in a professional school. While state-supported professional schools usually admit very few nonresidents, a resident of Minnesota attending NDSU and applying to the University of Minnesota Medical School will be given the same consideration as a Minnesota resident who has received a premedical education in Minnesota. Similarly, North Dakota residents are given equal priority by the University of North Dakota (UND) School of Medicine regardless of graduation from NDSU, UND, or any other university of equal standing. Back to fact sheet index The Pre-Professional Curriculum There is no formal curriculum for you as a pre-professional student, so you are free to choose an academic major that is close to your personal interests. However, professional schools require their applicants to complete certain basic courses. As an example, the UND School of Medicine requires its applicants to have completed 16 semester hours in chemistry, eight in physics, eight in the biological sciences, three in college algebra, three in psychology or sociology and six in English. Students planning to apply to professional schools should seek information from particular schools and become familiar with any special requirements.
