Performing Arts Ministry seeks to creatively share the anointed Word of God by making use of the arts. Since Jesus taught using parables, Through His Eyes (T.H.E.) shares the Gospel by using drama., liturgical dance, mime, poetry and the Step Team. Praise ye the Lord, Praise God is His sanctuary…Praise Him according to his excellent greatness…Praise Him with the timbrel and the dance… Let everything that he has breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord. Psalms 150 Purpose Through His Eyes (T.H.E.)Performing Arts ministry exists to release people in their gifts and talents to glorify God, partnering with them to reach the lost through the arts, music, dance and drama. With increasing reality, our world has become a place where the people in it have definite walls built around themselves that keep them from opening their hearts to the things of God. How the world views the Church often hinders them from receiving the Good News. But more and more, people will attend a play at a church or let down their guard during a skit, and end up being touched and changed forever. We want to see eternal things happen as people discover that God will use their gifts in the ARTS. Meeting Times Qualifications If you are creative, imaginative, detailed orientated, possess people skills, hospitable, possess leadership skills…Come Join Through His Eyes (T.H.E.) Performing Arts Ministry. Your gifts and talents are invaluable to the Lord and to First Church. Join Us and see what God will do with the gift he has given you.

Performing Arts Marcel Marceau
Marcel Marceau : Biography Universally acclaimed as the world's greatest mime, Marcel Marceau was born in Strasbourg, France. Marceau's interest in the art of mime began at an early age when he would imitate with gestures anything that fired his imagination. Later he discovered such silent screen artists as Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton, Harry Langdon, Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy, and his admiration for these great actors inspired him to pursue the art of silence as a profession. In 1946, he enrolled as a student in Charles Dullin's School of Dramatic Art in the Sarah Bernhardt Theatre in Paris, where he studied with the great master, Etienne Decroux, who had also taught Jean-Louis Barrault. The latter noticed Marceau's exceptional talent, made him a member of his company, and cast him in the role of Arlequin in the pantomime entitled Baptiste - which Barrault himself had interpreted in the famous film Les Enfants du Paradis . Marceau's performance won him such acclaim that he was encouraged to present his first "mimodrama", called
