Information presented on the 8th Military Police Brigade Web Page site is considered public information and may be distributed or copied. Use of appropriate byline/photo/image credits is requested. This government computer system uses software programs to create summary statistics, which are used for such purposes as assessing what information is of most and least interest, determining technical design specifications, and identifying system performance or problem areas. For site security purposes and to ensure that this service remains available to all users, this government computer system employs software programs to monitor network traffic to identify unauthorized attempts to upload or change information, or otherwise cause damage. Except for authorized law enforcement investigations, no other attempts are made to identify individual users or their usage habits. Raw data logs are used for no other purposes and are scheduled for regular destruction in accordance with National Archives and Records Administration General Schedule 20. Unauthorized attempts to upload information or change information on this service are strictly prohibited and may be punishable under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act of 1986 and the National Information Infrastructure Protection Act.

My name is Jim Stewart and I served in Vietnam from October of 1966 to October of 1968. I also worked there as a civilian for two years until July, 1970. I served with the 552nd, 300th, 560th and 527th MP companies. I left for Vietnam when I was 19 and came home just a few months shy of my 24th birthday. I met and served with a lot of fine men.
I know I have spent time on the web looking for some of these men, wondering how they have done since they returned home. I know a lot of us have wondered. Hopefully this site will be read by some of the MP vets and put them in touch with the friends and soldiers that they served with.
Please pass this web site on to your friends. Hopefully some of these men and others will make contact and I can keep posting updates. NEWS: Force Protection Gate Requirements for DoD Decals and ID Card
Possessing a DoD Form 2220 "Department of Defense Registered Vehicle" Decal alone does not authorize the use of Washington Gate, or the DoD ÂexpressÂ lanes of Stony Lonesome and Thayer Gates. In order to utilize these lanes, personnel will need to display the decals AND show proper identification for the driver and occupants of the vehicle over the age of 16 years. Proper Identification Criteria: Personnel coming through the DoD lanes will display either the DD Form 2 style ID cards for military personnel and their sponsored family members, or in any other case, a CAC card. By Danny Kennedy And Victor Menotti CHEVRON, ONE OF San Francisco's largest corporations, has admitted it paid and transported Nigerian military and police troops who shot and killed unarmed Nigerian activists peacefully protesting on one of the company's offshore oil rigs. On May 25 of this year more than 100 young men from the 42 communities of Ilajeland an ethnic homeland far north of the coast traveled by speedboat and canoe to Chevron's offshore Parabe platform and service barge, a few miles into the Atlantic Ocean. Occupying the platform, they say, was the only way to focus Chevron's attention on the costs of oil extraction to indigenous peoples and the territory they live on. "We went there for peaceful demonstration because of the activities of Chevron in our area," Larry Bowato, one of the occupiers, told Pacifica Radio's Amy Goodman Aug. 29. "We went there to protest, because for thirty-three years in which Chevron is operating, we don't have anything." The activists say they boarded the barge, approached a member of the Nigerian navy, and told him they were there to express their grievances to Chevron's management. One of the leaders of the occupation said they had no weapons, "not even a placard." Chevron spokesperson Shola Omole corroborated this in a Sept. 4 interview with Pacifica.
