The Isra eli database is part of a network of databases that are partnered with NASA's Earth Observing System Data Information System (EOSDIS). Earth Observing System (EOS) program NASA’s Earth Observing System is comprised of a series of satellites that are planned to provide comprehensive measurements on Earth for a period of 15 years. By 2002, these observation databases are expected to hold more than 260 informational products, containing more than 3 petabytes of information (a petabyte is 10 megabytes).
