Includes bacteriology, parasitology, antimicrobial susceptibility testing and other miscellaneous items not covered elsewhere.
  • All completed lab work can be looked up in the LIS computer and/or the HIS computer. (70L,A). All preliminary results can be looked up in the LIS computer and/or the HIS computer. No one is automatically authorized to enter the laboratory after hours. Ask PMH security to contact the microbiology supervisor on-call. Share Page 20886.     Isolator tubes
    Viral transport
    Chlamydia GenProbe collection kits
    RSV EIA collection kits
    Anaerobe transport
    Neisseria transport
  • Chlamydia detection kits are located in microbiology in the specimen set up area. Para-Pak parasitology kits are located in the microbiology lab. Anaerobic culturettes are located in the microbioloy lab. Culturettes and sterile urine containers are kept in the Nursing Division, not in the laboratory. Nursing divisions purchase their own and urine cups culturettes from the hospital storeroom. Gram's and Methylene Blue Stains are located in the sink areas by the Technologists' work stations.
