136. Family Tree Maker's Genealogy Site: User Home Pages: David Cooper's Cohen / Coop
Ancestral heritage of David Cooper from Grand Rapids, michigan, USA.
http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/c/o/o/David--Cooper/
// Included to access cookie for webpub email feature I am actively researching the following surnames: BRUNSTEIN, COHEN(CAHN, KOHEN, KOHN), COOPER (KUPFERSZMIDT), FLEISHMAN, POSNER (POIZNER), PRITIKIN, SEGGEROCK, SHERMAN and STARKMAN (SZTARKMAN) family lines.
I will be researching the following surnames: Allen, Ellentuch, Brunstein, Krell
The COHEN, PRITIKIN and SHERMAN lines come from Fastow, Ukraine (possibly a shtetl outside Fastow called Chervonya Kolony). The BRUNSTEIN and SEGGEROCK lines are from Ukraine and / or Russia. The Cohen name may have been anglisized from Kagen or Kagenich. The oldest ancestors I know about are cousin's, Moshe "Der Wisser" Cohen and Moshe "Der Langer" Cohen and they lived around 1840. Many of the decendants live or have lived in the Cleveland, Ohio, USA area.
The COOPER (KUPFERSZMIDT), FLIESHMAN, and POSNER lines come from Ostrowiec, Radom, Poland. The Cooper's may have anglisized their name from Kupferszmidt and the Starkman's from Sztarkman. Currently this line starts with my gggGrandfather (my paternal Grandfather's maternal Grandfather), Isreal Starkman. Most of the decedants live in either Cleveland, Ohio, USA and surronding area or California, USA.
I have published 3 genealogy reports listing all of the names in my database along with some basic information on each of the individuals. If you see a name or names you are interested in, please feel free to email me and I will gladly email you an outline report or in some cases a GEDCOM.
