Mental Health Consumer Net Connections "Building an On-Line Community of Support" Welcome to Mental Health Consumer Net. This "ever under construction" web site is being produced by consumers of mental health services living in British Columbia, Canada. The site is intended to serve as an informational and educational resource for consumers/survivors/ex-patients and includes a wide variety of links to both internal and external sources of information and services. The site was originally funded through community Consumer, Family and Community Initiative funds which were intended to facilitate the participation of consumers and families in the design, development, implementation and evaluation of mental health service initiatives. Since the reorganization of health services and the downward turn in the politics of mental health in British Columbia, these funds are no longer available in most communities.
