Alberta Curriculum for Mathematics "All courses in the curriculum are revised on average every eight to ten years to ensure that they meet the needs of students as they move into post-secondary institutions and the workplace. Giving students the ability to use mathematics to solve a wider range of problems, both inside and outside of mathematics, and to use information technology, are two goals of the new curriculum. It includes a wider range of mathematical processes, concepts and tools to provide students the skills they will need after graduation." The first common framework in mathematics, Kindergarten to Grade 9, was released in English and French in June 1995.
