Topic: Data Management - "Math in the Real World" Grade Level : Grade 7 Time: 15 -20 hours This Module was created to integrate technology into the Saskatchewan Mathematics 6-9 Curriculum: A Curriculum Guide for the Middle Level (Grades 6-9) (September 1996). This module and the activities were created by Bart Cote. The Mathematics Module is designed to be teacher directed, with fully developed ready to use student activities. It was designed to give a teacher the opportunity to incorporate these activities into the Data Management unit in his/her classroom. The module activities cover all of the objectives in the topics of Collecting, Organizing, Displaying, Summarizing and Interpreting, from the Data Management Strand. However, it is important to note that this module does not include any of the objectives from the Probability topic. The fully developed student activities will lead the student in collecting, organizing, displaying, summarizing and interpreting data that he/she will collect on a topic of his/her choice.
