Military Schools for Troubled Teenagers
The public school system of today is not fully equipped to handle troubled teenagers. Often times, parents turn to military schools as an option to discipline and educate their troubled teenagers. Military schools , which seemed headed for extinction in the late 1960s and early '70s, have seen enrollments increase steadily in recent years. Many military schools are jammed to capacity and sport long waiting lists, as anxious parents scramble for slots. This website will give more information about military schools as an option for troubled teens as well as other alternatives for troubled teens. There is also history of military schools and general information about military schools. Alabama AL Alaska AK ... Visit Our Directory Resources: Home Site Directory Military School Options.

Members of the Maryland National Guard (MDNG)as well as citizens just joininghave considerable educational benefits . "It's quite possible for a soldier to go to school tuition free ," said Maj. Calvin Moore of MDNG Education Services Office. All state colleges/universities are required by state law to provide a 25 percent tuition waiver to MDNG members. Some schools provide a 50 percent tuition waiver because of the efforts and lobbying of MDNG Educational Services ; MDNG established a Memorandum-of-Understanding (MOU) with some schools resulting in an additional 25 percent tuition waiver. Federal educational benefits can be used for both undergraduate and graduate studies, while state tuition assistance can only be used for undergraduate work. Additionally, through various programs such as CLEP and arrangements between the Army and various educational bodies soldiers receive college credit for their military education, training, and experience. As an example, Basic Training (IADT/BCT) is credited for the physical education requirement at most post-secondary schools. Here are some key things about MDNG educational benefits Four Major Educational Benefit Programs:
