    Updated November 1, 2003
Researching the POLLITT / POLLITTE families of Kentucky, particularly those associated with Mason, Lewis and Fleming Counties in the northeastern part of the state.
Also particular interest in the descendants of Jonathan and Narcissa Pollitt, of Maryland's Eastern Shore, those being five sons - James, Josiah, George, Nehemiah and Severn.
We have extensive information about these and other Pollitt families which we are willing to share.
The local Pollitte family has conducted an annual reunion since 1934 at the Olivet United Methodist Church in eastern Mason County, Kentucky. We publish a newsletter (at least once per year, and sometimes more often).
The old Olivet Church and cemetery are located on a portion of the Severn Pollitt home farm. Descendants currently live on two adjacent properties, Triple-J and Windy Hill Farms. These farms were certified as being Sesquicentennial farms during Kentucky's 1992 Bicentennial celebration, signifying that they have remained continuously within the family for at least 150 years (actually, since 1796).
Also collecting information on eastern Mason, western Lewis, and northern Fleming county history and communities, including the villages of Orangeburg, Rectorville, Bridgeport, Springdale, Tollesboro, Mt. Gilead and Mt. Carmel.
